Kurosawa “Ginrei”
Fukushima prefecture
For a starry night
The pale silver hue of this sake is like a soft moon on a crisp night. The flavor follows this imagery too, with a clean, dry mouthfeel and engaging notes of Asian pear, not too strong, but just right. Before getting too caught up in this sake’s savory flavors, take a moment to admire its aroma, a marvelous mix of pineapple and rice pudding. Keep in mind Kurosawa Ginrei took home silver in the 2018 World Sake Challenge, so it’s bound to be special.
