Simply purr-fect

“Tatenyan” is the mascot cat that wandered into the Tatenokawa Brewing Company, where they only make junmai daiginjo of the highest quality standards. Just like that energetic kitty, this sake is playful. From the initial flowery scent to the slight effervescence, Tatenokawa “Tatenyan” is bound to pick up your spirits. The juicy melon flavor has a clean, mineral finish, and can be enjoyed at any temperature.

Tatenokawa Brewing Company

This prestigious brewery was founded in 1832, but was given the name Tatenokawa (in English, Castle Brook) by the daimyo Sakai Tadakatsu in 1855. As one of the few breweries dedicated to solely producing junmai daiginjo sake, their current vision is to create sake for modern times by pushing the envelope in rice polishing and forging international relationships. In pursuing these goals, Tatenokawa has achieved a 1% RPR, and has collaborated with renowned musical artists such as Foo Fighters and Phoenix. The brewery continues to impress on the global stage, consistently earning top awards in sake competitions around the world.
