Gasanryu “Betsuatsurae” Morning Glory
Yamagata prefecture
Bliss in a bottle
This seasonal summer sake manages to capture the fleeting beauty and allure of blooming morning glories. From the first whiff to the last sip, enjoy an enlivening drinking experience with fresh, bright acidity designed to pair well with summer vegetables. Brewed using a rare rice from Yamagata called Tamanae, and using no fining, it’s an elegant and clean expression of a refreshing, once-pasteurized sake.

Shindo Brewing Company
Shindo has been brewing a local but famous brand “Fukutsuru” for the last 10 generations. This new brand “Gasanryu” was invented from an idea of going back to the original. They rebuilt the entire process to make truly authentic sake for sake lovers by taking harvest of rice to brewing all in-house. “Gasanryu” is limited in availability, most of them are only consumed locally.
